Upenders/Downenders
Upenders/Downenders are designed to move a coil (with or without a carrier) from the vertical to the horizontal position or from horizontal to vertical. This greatly simplifies coil handling during processing, allowing the coil to be moved and positioned easily, without damage to the coil.
Upenders/Downenders are generally based on a number of basic proven designs and customized to meet specific customer requirements. The Upenders/Downender is modified to meet the requirments of coil size, weight and other specifications such as carrier profiles.
A variation on this product is the Upender/Stripper which automatically removes the coils from the carrier after the furnace process.
The Upender/Stripper is provided as a solution to coil handling problems associated with furnace operations. This system will cut down costly damage to your product caused by tipping the carriers over by hand. The Upender/Stripper also frees your personnel for other tasks.
