Side cutters have the cutting edge on side of the cutter and depending on the amount of cutting edge bevel can be used to trim wires very close to a surface.
High Leverage Side Cutters
KN7401-140, KN7401-160, KN7401-200, KN7401-250
These diagonal cutters are made of Chrome Vanadium electric steel, oil-hardened and tempered and the precision cutting edges are induction-hardened to a hardness of approximately 64 HRC.
The 140 is 5.5” long and is capable of cutting up to .078” diameter hard wire.
The 160 is 6.25” long and is capable of cutting up to .098 hard wire
The 200 is 8” long and is capable of cutting up to .118” diameter hard wire
The 250 is 10” long and is capable of cutting up to .138 hard wire - the 250 is also suitable for copper conductors up to .025 in² and aluminum conductors up to .054 in².
KN7421-200
This diagonal cutter has a 12° angled head for flush cutting. By angling the handles away from the surface the tool provides space for gripping the tool handles. The KN7421-200 is 8” long and is capable of cutting up to .118” diameter hard wire
Spring Assisted Side Cutters

This 6.25” long spring return diagonal cutting nipper is ideal for repetitive cutting applications. It has a cutting capacity up to .078” diameter hard wire.
