Side cutting pliers are a unique combination of parallel pliers and a cutter with the capacity to cut very hard spring wires. All these side cutting pliers and non-cutting pliers have knurled jaws with a grove the close parallel to each other to provide a superior grip on wire. The advantage of the side cutting version is that an operator can cut wire and pull wire with a single tool.
Parallel Action Side Cutting Pliers

For intermittent cutting and pulling applications these tools are ideal. The 140 is 5.5” in length and can cut up to .063 hard wire, the 160 is 6.25” in length and can cut up to .078 hard wire and the 200 is 8” in length and can cut up to .098 hard wire.
